The story goes that Alois and Aloisia probably didn’t die the same day, but they were found the same day: February 7, 1991. Alois died in the shower and blocked the shower drain which flooded the house. Aloisia was in poor health and spent most of her time upstairs. Footprints were found in the soaked carpet where she went from the stairs to the bathroom then back to the front door where there was a panic button. She collapsed before she reached the button and died. The neighbor who found them thought Alois had been dead for about three days before they were found.
