25 New Christmas Songs for 2025!

I’m going to be releasing 25 new Christmas songs this year that I put together. I say “put together” because when my partner, Jeff Rizzo passed, he was my writing partner that would write all the music. I don’t write music, so I’ve relied on AI to help me. But don’t let that scare you…it does a pretty darned good job.

But, don’t think for a moment you just tell it to write music and voila…it’s ready. It took a lot of tries and a lot of effort to get these songs just as I wanted them.

So, I’ll be releasing one every day through Christmas…a sort of Musical Advent Calendar! You can listen on your favorite streaming service and/or purchase each of the songs you like!

Song List:

December 1: IT’S NOT CHRISTMAS UNTIL KAREN CARPENTER SINGS
Every year since the Carpenter’s Christmas Portrait album came out in 1978, I have played it before any other album as I got out my Christmas decorations. I truly love Karen Carpenter’s voice. iTunes iHeart Spotify Purchase

December 2: BEST CHRISTMAS EVER
This is a fun, Kelly Clarkson or Taylor Swift kind of Christmas song. iTunes iHeart Spotify Purchase

December 3: California Christmas
When you think about the stereotypical Christmas, you think about snow and very cold weather. That’s not what we have in a lot of Southern California. So this is a song about living in Ventura County for Christmas…with a kind of Eagles feel. iTunes iHeart Spotify Purchase

December 4: The Dog Who Saved (and Ruined) Christmas
My roommate Curtis Thompson put these lyrics together. Just a quirky song about a dog and a cat having too much fun with the Christmas decorations.

December 5: O Heavenly Night
“O Holy Night” is my favorite religious Christmas Song, so I thought I’d see what I could do that would be similar to that. I think this is a beautiful song. I gave it a Josh Groban type voice.

December 6: Misty the Snowgirl
Sequel of sorts to Frosty the Snowman!

December 7: Oxnard’s Heart Beats on Christmas Tree Lane
December 7 is opening night of Christmas Tree Lane here in Oxnard. So I wrote a new song for this year. iTunes iHeart Spotify Purchase

December 8: The Little Drummer Boy’s Journey
Jeff really disliked the “Little Drummer Boy” song for some reason, so I decided to write a different version in his memory, based more on his instruments.

December 9: Hold On Through December
While “O Holy Night” is my favorite religious song, “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” is my favorite secular song.  This is my stab at a 40’s style movie score song similar to it.  I think it’s really beautiful.

December 10: The Complete Christmas Treat
Jeff and I met while he was doing SNOOPY in L.A. I love the “Don’t Be Anything Less” song from that show so I wanted to do a song with lots of lyric lists that are hard to remember! LOL

December 11: The Ghosts of Christmas
This is my take on “A Christmas Carol” if Dolly Parton sang it.

December 12: Eight Days of Light
This is the first day of Hanukkah this year…so in honor of that…an SATB style song.

December 13: Every Year With Charlie Brown
Tonight Charlie Brown airs on TV for the first time this season, so in honor of watching it every year…

December 14: Falling Like Snow
A fun Taylor Swift style song about a snow day.

December 15: Redneck Christmas
Inspired by Gretchen Wilsons “Redneck Woman.”  This might offend some but I think it’s very funny in the same way her song was.

December 16: Little Lights
Christmas isn’t easy for everyone, lots of people struggling with financial problems now. This is a song about finding the little lights that make Christmas bearable.

December 17: Fall On Your Knees
I love gospel music, so here’s a gospel Christmas song!

December 18: Christmas Song of Songs
A Christmas song made up of Christmas song titles!

December 19: Still Here With Me
I’ve lost almost everyone that meant the world to me in my life…Christmas is lonely without them, but I like to think they’re “Still Here With Me.”

December 20: The Silver Bells
This is a fun song based on the sounds that bells make.

December 21: Alone This Christmas
Not unlike “Still Here With Me,” some people spend the holidays alone.

December 22: Every Time a Bell Rings
Did you get it from the title? This is a song loosely based on the story of “It’s a Wonderful Life.”

December 23: Anne Frank Found the Light
Well, she didn’t find it in a Christian conversion sort of way, but amid the horrible situation she and her family endured, they were able to defiantly celebrate Hanukkah, but Anne really loved St. Nicholas day and Christmas, too.

December 24 (Christmas Eve): Momma’s Christmas Fudge
Christmas Eve was my mom’s birthday and she made the best fudge every year! This is a song about making fudge with her.

December 25 (Christmas Day): We All Belong At Christmas
This is about accepting everyone as they are and celebrating the joy of Christmas. A Lady Gaga style anthem.
