The Walter H. Lathrop House (1920)
Built ~1916* for Walter H. Lathrop; a subdivider and real estate man. This is a large, square shaped, two story Prairie style house that has a low pitched hip roof with paired decorative brackets under boxed eaves. On the east side is the entrance and a porte cochere supported by large square brick columns. Windows are symmetrically placed and the house has very narrow clapboard siding. “G” Street was subdivided by Lathrop in 1913.
Trivia: 2 City Council-members have lived in this house: Walter Lathrop and Bryan MacDonald.
